Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) kicks-off with innovative services

The industry in motion:
Web 2.0 is the latest phase in the evolution of the internet. Technological developments known as Web 2.0 are the latest trend; everyone is talking about Web 2.0. The use of the World Wide Web is changing considerably. User-generated content, social networking, communities, and virtual reality are only a few examples of this change. The future is here: Web 2.0 is the latest incarnation of the internet’s evolution. The megatrends of our sector are mobile internet, expanding broadband networks, growing human collaboration and participation and Web 2.0 is a synonym for the active participation of all users in the shaping of the Internet, in particular the personal and social networking engagement of its online users.
Web 2.0 is not just the keyword for internet-based technology, but also “the” catchword for the wave of changing user behaviour. Not even wholesale telcos can escape the rising importance of these trends on the internet. Simply said, a structural change caused by Web 2.0 – the next generation of the internet – is currently taking place. The Internet is all present. The mobile use of the internet, for example, is turning into a type of basic need for some people. Mobile e-mail, mobile applications, mobile downloads, video-based applications and technologies that rely on user collaboration will drive the adoption of handheld computer devices. This will include web services, peer-to-peer networking, blogs, podcasts, and online social networks. The path of development is clearly marked and is being consistently expanded via mobile broadband technologies such as high-speed Wimax and LTE.
